Nvidia Introduces Inno3D P102-100 Cryptocurrency Accelerator

Video card manufacturer Nvidia

Video card manufacturer Nvidia is preparing to release a special solution for mining - the Inno3D P102-100 accelerator, which is an analogue of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti gaming video card. It is reported by Hi-Tech.Mai

The Nvidia P102-100 GPU received 3200

The Nvidia P102-100 GPU received 3200 CUDA cores with a base frequency of 1582 MHz. The card comes with 5GB of GDDR5X memory clocked at 11Gb/s and around 400GB/s bandwidth.

For mining this means about 47 MH/s in Ethereum, 660 Sol/s in ZCash and 879 H/s in Monero. A two-slot cooler is responsible for cooling the accelerator, and the presence of a VRM heatsink is not excluded.

The card supports the PCIe Gen1 x4

The card supports the PCIe Gen1 x4 interface but comes with a regular PCIe slot. The card will be 21.5 cm long, 12.5 cm wide and will occupy two slots. The card will additionally have two 8-pin PCI-E Power connectors. The maximum power consumption is estimated at 250 watts.
The card has no I/O ports, it is designed only for mining, so over time it will be quite difficult to sell it.

Experts suggest that the cost of the Nvidia P102-100 will be lower than that of its counterpart, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, but the exact figure has not yet been announced.

Recall that plans to release to the market about 300 thousand specialized accelerators designed specifically for cryptocurrency mining were announced by Nvidia representatives back in June 2017. Then they noted that the new video accelerators will be deprived of any video outputs, they will receive a modified printed circuit board designed for constant loads, as well as a slightly different cooling system.
